We are looking to recruit a Business Manager to provide confidential financial administration support to the Chief Operations Officer who has overall responsibility in terms of Finance and Operations for the Trust. You will have the knowledge and ability of ordering & invoicing, bank reconciliations, inputting income from the ESFA, Local Authority, VAT, and sundry income, pension reports to Teacher Pensions and Local Government Pensions Reports, ensuring payroll is processed correctly i.e. ensuring starters, leavers and variations are completed and up to date on a monthly basis, financial forecasting reports for the CEO/COO, monitoring all expenditure and income. You will ensure all financial functions are processed within agreed school financial policy and procedures. You will use best value in all aspects of tendering and procurement. You will be proficient in estate management and be aware of statutory requirements in all areas of estate management.
It is a fun and exciting time to join our Trust as we are growing and have centralised our core functions such as Finance, HR and Estate Management to serve the Trust accordingly. This will be a key role and you will be in a senior position as part of the team ensuring its effectiveness and efficiency. We currently consist of 3 Church of England Primary schools St Mary’s and St Saviour’s in Walthamstow and St Margaret’s in Barking and Dagenham.
Do you have:
- Previous experience of working in a finance role as Bursar or business manager.
- Experience of using Microsoft packages (Excel essential)
- Experience of using PS Financials
- Experience of HCSS Access Finance
- Payroll experience
- Good ICT skills.
- Good organisation skills with ability to be proactive and methodical in your approach.
- Excellent numeracy/literacy skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
