We are a successful and oversubscribed school at an exciting stage in our development.  We moved to our fantastic new site in September 2015 and achieved our best ever GCSE results in 2018.

This is a great opportunity to join our school as a Cover Supervisor. You will be responsible for supervising students when their regular teacher is absent.  You will also have some other duties which will fully involve you in the life of the school.  When you are not required for cover, you will be a Learning Support Assistant.  You will have worked in a school or similar setting before, have a genuine liking for young people and be able to set clear boundaries for their behaviour so that they focus on learning.

We are:

  • ‘a good school’ - OFSTED, June 2016
  • a specialist partner of UCL – Institute of Education
  • active partners in the Seven Kings, Waltham Forest and Whitefields Teaching School Alliances
  • holder of the Platinum Quality Mark for Professional Development

Willowfield School as an aware employer is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults as its number one priority and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  A DBS check will be taken up on the successful candidate.

Visits are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Janice Feltham, Head’s PA

at the school to arrange an appointment on 020 8527 4065. Alternatively, to request a recruitment pack and application form (C.V.s are not accepted) or to find out more about what we can offer email us at:

Equal Opportunities
Waltham Forest is a diverse borough where diversity is valued and is integral to both, service delivery and employment of its staff. The Council is proud of its rich mix of communities and as the largest employer in the area, it works hard to respond to the changing needs of its population.

We use our statutory duties on race, gender and disability equality and best practice in respect of age, faith and sexual orientation to ensure equality of opportunity in the workplace.

The Council is committed to meeting its 4 equality objectives contained within the Waltham Forest Council Equality Plan 2012/2015:

- Promoting equality of opportunity

- Opposing all forms of discrimination, intolerance and disadvantage

- Ensuring our workforce reflects the diverse communities of Waltham Forest at all levels.

- Providing fair, appropriate, accessible and excellent Services to all.

Respecting Diversity is a core Council value.
