Graduate Support Assistant

Main Duties and General Responsibilities  

  • To support class teachers with the preparation and delivery of lessons.
  • Create displays within the classroom and around the school
  • To cover lessons across all three Key Stages when required.
  • Promote the school vision and aims and objectives as outlined in the School Improvement Plan.
  • Comply with all Hillyfield Primary Academy’s policies and procedures relating to child protection, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
  • All staff and volunteers to commit to the safeguarding and promoting of the welfare of children and young people.
  • Adhere to Hillyfield Primary Academy’s Equality Policy
  • Operate within Hillyfield Primary Academy’s Health, Safety & Welfare Policy and Procedure
  • Take part in Hillyfield Primary Academy’s Performance Management System
  • Undertake professional development activities to enhance personal development and job performance, through provision of training or mentoring.
  • Adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.
  • Attend relevant school meetings, as well as any other meetings associated with this role.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by the management team
