PREMISES MANAGER

SCALE: SO2 ~ PO2 depending on experience and skills
SALARY: £31,548 ~ £36,711
CONTRACT: Permanent 36 hours per week based on 6 day a week rota throughout 52 weeks.
We are seeking to appoint a Premises Manager to take responsibility for the maintenance and safety of our buildings and specialist facilities under the direction of the School Business Director. You will lead and develop our premises function comprising Site Officers, Apprentice and Cleaning Team, to ensure the smooth running of the school buildings and grounds.
This is an exciting time to join Buxton School, having recently moved into our new building. The Premises Manager will play a pivotal role in strengthening the relationship between the functions of maintenance, adaptation and new build to ensure that the school campus can be efficiently and cost effectively maintained. You will have experience of managing projects to specification, on time and within budget.
The role requires a dynamic manager; someone with strong communication skills, high levels of technical awareness and successful people management experience. The successful candidate will be entrusted to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, pupils, contractors, suppliers and the general public.
Applicants will be able to work on a flexible shift rota that includes evening shifts to support the work of the school and the site services team. It is expected that the majority of annual leave is taken during the school holidays.
