Downsell Primary school is a 2 form entry school in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
An exciting SBM opportunity is available in our team and we are seeking to appoint a 
passionate, dynamic and experienced School Business Manager to join our Leadership team.
This interesting position will suit someone who is self-motivated and enthusiastic about 
making a difference within a vibrant and dynamic school community.


The SBM will be responsible for the strategy and operation of the Business functions of the 
school which will include finance, procurement, health and safety, GDPR, Human Resources 
and infrastructure. The SBM will advise on and implement the day to day support that 
enables the school to operate efficiently and effectively, which will allow other members of 
the Senior Leadership Team to focus on Teaching and Learning.


We are looking for a skilled SBM who is able to manage the school’s financial processes and 
the setting of budgets, liaise with external providers, line manage staff and to work in 
partnership to manage the PFI contract. The SBM would have responsibility for the single 
Central Record and oversee Health and Safety.
