Head of Capital Portfolio Management (10-month maternity cover)
We are looking for maternity cover for the role of Head of Capital Portfolio Management from July 2022 for approximately 10 months.
This is an opportunity to support delivery and lead on the monitoring and assurance of the Council’s ambitious £643 million capital investment programmes, which deliver new and affordable homes, major placemaking, infrastructure and property programmes. Key to this role is demonstrating the significant return on investment and social value outcomes being delivered for the borough, such as new affordable homes, employment and skills outcomes and environmental impact.
You will also play an integral role in leading the Property & Delivery PMO and supporting the work of the wider Place Directorate.
THE ROLE
Head of Capital Portfolio Management (10-month maternity cover)
Grade: PO12
Salary range: £69,768 to £75,738
Working pattern: Full time (flexible working arrangements will be considered)
As Head of Capital Portfolio Management you will be responsible for leading the Council’s Capital Portfolio Management function. The post holder will be responsible for delivery of the Council’s Capital Investment Strategy management functions, including ensuring the Council maximises return on investment for our ambitious £643 million capital portfolio.
The post holder will lead a team providing assurance, monitoring and risk management of delivery plans, ensuring everything is underpinned by a robust delivery and financial framework.
The post holder will demonstrate professional knowledge of property and/or capital projects with strong programme and portfolio management expertise. The ability to work collaboratively across all Directorates with senior stakeholders will be key to success.
The role is offered on a part office and home-based arrangement.
