
Engagement Officer
Waltham Forest Council is in a fairly unique position having won Mini-Holland funding of £27 million from Transport for London to invest in the road network and make it an excellent place to walk and cycle. We are working to create a lasting cycling culture and achieve our target of ten percent of all trips made by bike by 2020,
We are looking for an experienced Engagement Officer to work in the Enjoy Waltham Forest Team delivering a wide range of highway infrastructure and behaviour change projects and programmes aimed at promoting and encouraging the use of sustainable and active travel.
A proven background along with demonstrable ability are essential in developing and delivering a range of engagement, communication and publicity programmes and campaigning including public consultations, community workshops, customer surveys etc,
The successful candidate must also be able to influence and motivate a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the programme.
Proficient in the use of MS Office and other software packages used to develop media for the public are also key requirement to the post holder.
