Vacancy Description

Waltham Forest is different, exciting, vibrant. We pride ourselves on our ambition and our delivery of exciting programmes, regeneration and change. Building on the ambitious programme we are delivering as London’s first Borough of Culture, this new role will be at the heart of developing how we use our Town Hall Campus - both during its regeneration and beyond. Delivering differently, as part of our expanding innovative and commercial approach, you will shape the role as your own, helping us to transform the management of the Campus whilst delivering new and existing activities and events to the standard you would find in any 5-star hospitality environment.

With total oversight for the Campus experience, you will lead the borough’s welcome – with the opportunity to deliver experiences and create memories that reflect the dynamism and energy of our community. This role will give you the scope to use your passion for excellence to create and co-ordinate outstanding events, providing excellent experiences for our residents, visitors and customers, whilst using your gravitas to ensure that every part of the organisation is coordinated to deliver with customer experience at the forefront.

With a creative mind and the ability to deliver the ‘art of the possible’, you will lead the way in curating experiences whilst ensuring that the campus as a whole runs smoothly at all times.

Who will you be?

  • Professional: -someone who has excellent attention to detail and can maintain a high level of integrity, ensuring a positive image is promoted at all times.
  • Innovative: leading on designing and enhancing our new model, spotting and taking forward opportunities through to delivery.
  • Problem solving: –anticipating and resolving issues before they occur.
  • Flexible: - balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Assertive: - strong leadership skills and a “can do” attitude who has high expectations for all who work with and for you: proven experience of leading and managing teams operating in a highly visible service that demands 5* expectations.
  • Excellent personal presentation: confident and welcoming approach
