EDUCATION BUSINESS PROJECT MANAGER

As outlined in the report from Waltham Forest’s Life Chances Commission ‘Enabling young people to thrive’, the Council is committed to ensuring that challenges arising over the next decade that may prevent children and young people succeeding are addressed and practical solutions found. The Education Business Effectiveness Service supports maintained schools in Waltham Forest to secure and maintain financial sustainability to ensure high quality education continues to be delivered to all children and young people.

The service is currently looking to recruit an Education Business Project Manager to lead on a variety projects aiming to support the development of school business practices. The Education Business Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that schools have access to consistently high quality support and training to ensure resilient and sustainable business practices. With responsibilities for: managing a range of umbrella software licences, including building a helpdesk and training package for purchasing schools; leading the WF School Business Manager Network, ensuring that it provides quality guidance and CPD opportunities to its members; and where appropriate supporting collaborative projects between schools.  

The successful candidate will be a highly effective and motivated individual, with a proven track record in the management of complex programmes of work and a strong commitment to excellent customer service delivery. Maintaining strong professional relationships with a range of stakeholders will be crucial and the successful candidates will need to evidence the ability to engage, influence and motivate a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for our schools. 

The post is a 2 year fixed term contract, with the possibility of an extension.
