London Borough of Waltham Forest Cultural Education Partnership Co-ordinator 

Fixed term role until 30th November 2020

Waltham Forest will be the first ever London Borough of Culture 2019. We are recruiting for an Education Partnership Co-ordinator to join the busy team working to delivery an incredible year.

About the role:

The Education Partnership co-ordinator will support the delivery of the Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019 (LBoC) programme, undertaking mapping and research into current cultural learning provision in Waltham forest and developing strategic recommendations from this and the CEP Steering Group  to sustain quality cultural provision  for young people in the future

This role involves supporting and guiding schools, artists/arts organisations and other parties to ensure successful outcomes to the CEP. To liaise with and/or advise senior members of staff regarding service issues, problems and processes and deal with people at all levels confidently, sensitively and diplomatically.

About the London Borough of Culture:

In 2019 Waltham Forest will be the first ever London Borough of Culture. The award from the Mayor of London will ensure arts and culture is placed at the heart of our communities. The year will explore the themes ‘Radicals’, ‘Makers’ and ‘Fellowship’ in a collaboration between local residents, artists and creatives creating a once in a life time celebration of the place we call ‘home’. 

Waltham Forest, London Borough of Culture 2019 will shine a light on the character, diversity and cultures of the borough, the things we have in common and the things that make us different, a year-long celebration of the real cultures of London by the people who live here.

Led by A New Direction, with funding from Arts Council England, Challenge London is about ensuring all children and young people in London can develop their creativity, and play an active part in the culture and heritage of the city

Knowledge, skills & expertise:

  • English and Maths Qualification
  • Relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification essential
