Waltham Forest has been named as the first Borough of Culture.

It is our ambition to have ‘culture on every corner’.

To support this we are extending our offer in arts and crafts to enable more residents to access these courses.

Equivalent hourly rate £21.51 - £30.02 Hours available range from 3 hours a week upwards, including evenings and weekends. Courses and workshops are delivered at a range of venues across the borough for the Borough of Culture 2019.

Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service is the local authority’s direct provider of adult education and work-based training. Officially rated as “Good” following our OFSTED inspection in July 2016, we are on a journey to “Outstanding.”

We are looking for part time lecturers in any discipline in the Arts but particularly in upholstery, floristry and cake decorating.

The role will include delivery of non-accredited and accredited courses. You will need to be passionate about your subject and be able to raise achievement through motivating, challenging and inspiring our adult learners.

You must be experienced and a qualified teacher or be willing to complete an initial teaching qualification.

If you have the expertise to help students develop their skills in any of these areas and you are committed to being an outstanding practitioner, focused on achieving the best outcomes for your students, then this is the role for you!
