Servicestore Gardener & Handyman

Grade: £21,702 pa (36 hours per week)

Duration: Casual


Waltham Forest Services Ltd is looking to fill to positions for a Handyman and Gardener’s  to be a members of a team that provides a, grounds maintenance, caretaking, gardening, handyman, clearance service to customers of Waltham Forest Services Ltd.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out Servicestore’s day to day operations – to include varied services including Handyman, Gardening and Clearance services.  Acting as the first-line responder to customers and contractors.
  • Time management of Servicestore diary – the post-holder is responsible for completing all jobs within the diary and liaising with the clients to ensure all the jobs are completed to a professional standard in a timely manner.
  • Deputisation Responsibility – the post-holder will be responsible for supporting all  Servicestore’s operations teams of Caretakers & Grounds , Handyman and Gardeners as directed by the Operations Manager ensuring that  Servicestore meets its objectives.
  • Health & Safety – ensure all Health & Safety requirments are met when carrying out duties and functions
  • Opportunitity– to identify potential markets and customers to expand the customer base for Servicestore

What we seek in you

  • A passion for and commitment to the aims and the work of Servicestore and an enthusiasm to build on recent developments to Servicestore’s programme.
  • At least one year’s experience in a role with relevant responsibilities at an appropriate level.
  • An ability to plan, prioritise and organise in order to meet competing deadlines.
  • Experience of providing using own initiative to complete work e.g. quotes for works.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to build up good relationships with customers, contractors and regular clients.
  • A flexible, adaptable approach is essential.
  • Full British/International Driving Licence an advantage
