Adult Review Team
As part of the ongoing development of services to our residents in Waltham Forest, an Adult Review Team was established in May 2020.
The Team sits within the Families Directorate, in Quality Assurance Service based at Waltham Forest Town Hall Complex. Jenny Clark is the team manager and Kathi Gittens is the Head of Service.
The Team are responsible for carrying out planned annual reviews, for the cared for and their carers; as well as completing the work that flows from the review.
We are looking for people to apply who, like us, are committed to focussing on the person, their strengths and the network available to them rather than solely assessing people for a service or eligibility. We are looking for practitioners who believe it is important to ensure people have choice and control over their lives and support needs.
What we need from you
As a social care assistant, you will
Engage with individuals, carers, families, groups and communities to assess and intervene, using professional judgement, and developing person-led support plans to meet the needs of individuals that promote choice, control and independence.
Promote wellbeing, be able to identify safeguarding concerns. Be able to use a strength-based approach to assessment to support individuals to identify and develop their support networks and consider positive risk taking to enhance their choice and control in how their care needs are met.
Be responsible for ensuring the delivery of timely, high quality and legally compliant social care practice to agreed standards.
