Waltham Forest is building homes fast with an ambitious programme of housing delivery.

With a target of 18,000 new homes across the borough by 2030 and 3,000 by direct delivery we need a Housing Delivery Director who knows how to turn ambition into real homes outcomes.

You will have housing client-side experience and commercial nous to deliver high level capital delivery programmes and manage the Council’s Direct Delivery and own housing company, Sixty Bricks, pipeline of development. Strong grounding in the housing market, estate regeneration and understanding commercial housing finance are essential as well as a highly positive stakeholder and partnership approach with key funding agencies and delivery arms, including the GLA, housing development partners and housing associations. Knowledge of working and clienting a council housing company would be a strong advantage. Tenacity and strong interpersonal skills and interaction with senior politicians, councillors and decision makers is vital. You will be a key deputy on the Economic Growth and Housing Delivery Senior Management Team, lead a client-side delivery team as well as clienting the Sixty Bricks Housing Company and servicing Shareholders Committee. Come be a part of transforming Waltham Forest and providing a decent roof over all our residents’ heads.

To be considered for these roles you will have extensive experience in Housing Delivery/Regeneration, Planning and Delivery and a proven track record in transforming services to be commercial and customer-focused.
