SEASIONAL CONTACT SUPERVISORS

Waltham Forest is looking for Sessional Contact Supervisors to join our pool of Contac Supervisor. You will facilitate Contact Session for children and young people who are in the care of this Local Authority, with some of their family members. You will act as a member of a team with the purpose of safeguarding and promoting the child’s welfare and identity.
To make the most of the role, you will be an excellent communicator and be able to build positive relationships between the child and their family. You will be reporting back to the Contact Co-ordinator. You will write the reports from home and email your written reports speedily and securely to the Contact Co-ordinator of the Contact Service and to the case holding social worker.
You will have
- some knowledge of the principles of the Children Act 1989/2004
- knowledge of what children need
- excellent communication skills
- good skills to assess risks
- good observational and report writing skills
- a current driver’s license and access to use of their car which is covered by business insurance
- access to a secure internet connection
- and be flexible with working hours: this may include evenings and weekends.

We offer you training and regular supervision. You need to agree for an enhanced criminal record bureau check.
