The London Borough of Waltham Forest, SEND Service was developed in 2016 with the aim to provide integrated services for all children and young people aged 0-25 years with a special educational need and/or disability (SEND) who are eligible for an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).

Waltham Forest’s ambition is that the WF SEND Service will not only meet, but exceed statutory responsibilities, set out in the Children and Families Act 2014, Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2015. The service will be delivered in a range of ways, including the provision of enhanced and greater personalised support for families, reducing the need for multiple assessments, and providing a multi-skilled workforce that will work in an integrated approach to provide a joined up, quality service that is responsive and flexible.

The service is at a crucial and exciting stage of its evolution and would welcome interest from highly motivated people who are positive about disability and want to support the council in supporting young people to achieve their life chances.

The service is seeking a Client Relationship Officer to manage the operational aspect of the councils Travel Assistant Policy.  This role is front facing and requires candidates who are motivated, confident and have good customer relationship experience.  The post holder will be required to have some  SEN travel assistance experience.
