Waltham Forest is an exciting, dynamic and forward thinking place to work, striving to making a real difference to the community and lives of local people.

We aim to ensure excellence and high value through the services we deliver. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Waste and Recycling Team located within the Neighbourhood’s and Commissioning Directorate.

The Waste and Recycling Officer will support the progression and delivery of recycling and waste prevention initiatives in line with the implementation of the Council’s Waste and Recycling Strategies. A key function of the role will include supporting the implementation of the new Neighbourhoods Services Contract starting at the end of September.

The candidate will be a key point of contact for residents and will investigate and resolve their queries. Therefore we are seeking an individual who is comfortable working independently outside of an office environment as the role will involve on site monitoring as well as promotional events. In addition the capability to work flexible hours with an enthusiasm to do so will be required as some early mornings, weekends and evenings, will be necessary.

We would really like to hear from you if you have the drive and commitment for this role. For an informal discussion about this job please contact Kirsty Waugh, Environmental Strategy Manager on 0208 496 2559
