LEAVING CARE COACH

An opportunity has become available for agencies Leaving Care Coach, who are passionate about create better futures for Care Leavers within Waltham Forest. The leaving care coach primary role is to ensure that care leavers are transitioning proactively with the necessary support into independent living. Support will be provided to care leavers from 18 to 25 years of age. 

The Role will include supporting Care Leavers to have access to education, training and or employment as well being supported to access good quality accommodation with access to appropriate services. Young people will be supported to live healthy and happy life’s, and achieve their life goals and aspirations. The leaving care coach will ensure that they do have good and well supported relationships with care leavers.

The Leaving Care Couch (also referred to as personal advisor in other boroughs) will have experience having worked within leaving care services previously and have a good knowledge base around current legislation that underpins the support that should be offered to care leavers
