JOB TITLE: ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR TEAM MANAGER

 

               PAY: £47,511 TO £50,448

We’re looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Anti-Social Behaviour Team Manager to join and lead the Council’s ASB team.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the workload of a high-performing team of ASB officers and senior officers, to ensure cases are dealt with promptly and effectively, and in accordance with the relevant legislation and internal guidance.
  • Ensure the team takes appropriate and timely action to reduce incidents of ASB and the harm caused to victims. Help the team engage with the root causes of ASB to reduce repeat incidents.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills, paired with a positive and outward-looking approach to deliver improved and innovative models of working.
  • Have an enviable working knowledge of the tools and powers available to tackle ASB, in particular those available to local authorities in the ASBCPA 2014.
  • Ensure legal cases progress in a timely manner through civil and criminal courts, ensuring your senior team members have oversight of all legal papers and bundles to maximise success rates in the legal arena.
  • Identify new opportunities to grow and develop the work of the team.
  • Develop operational targets for the team to achieve, both individually and collectively. Take ownership of leading and developing the team through training and personal example.
  • Liaise with partner agencies at a senior level to provide Borough-wide oversight of strategic objectives, multi-disciplinary operations and complex civil and criminal cases. Work with these partners to develop complex multi-disciplinary operations to reduce ASB across the Borough.
  • Ensure your senior officers carry out regular case reviews with ASB Officers to ensure allocated casework is being managed effectively.
  • Continually review procedures and operating models and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Support the ASB Service Delivery Manager in the delivery of the Borough’s strategic objectives.

You will be a motivated and dedicated manager with a demonstrable commitment to delivering high quality ASB services, with relevant qualifications and/or experience. The appointable manager will be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, with a pragmatic and flexible approach to all aspects of their work.
