Fostering Social workers

Waltham Forest is a vibrant East London Borough rich in arts and culture. It is home to the William Morris Museum and Leyton Orient Football Club.  Waltham Forest is the London Borough of Culture 2019. We have a diverse community and are one of the fastest growing boroughs in London.

We are seeking a stage 1 social worker for recruitment of foster carer and what the candidate should essential have-

  • Delivered skills to foster training on their own.
  • Have been involved in recruitment of foster carer including marketing and information evenings.
  • Have completed form F assessment independently.
  • Have done initial visit to prospective foster carer and be able to make concise and clear recommendation.
  • Be able to work flexible and manage marketing events which are often on weekends or late evenings.

 

The post will be based within the existing, well established fostering service.  You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, to work with colleagues at all levels of the organisation, You will be competent at assessing risk and making sound casework decisions.
