Waltham Forest Council is in a fairly unique position having won Mini-Holland funding of £27 million from Transport for London to invest in the road network and make it an excellent place to walk and cycle. We are working to create a lasting cycling culture and achieve our target of ten percent of all trips made by bike by 2020. 

We are looking for a committed Project Manager, who will be working under the guidance of the Director of highways and Traffic Management to manage a variety of projects working with colleagues.  This work is varied and challenging and requires a high degree of self- management. 

A proven background in business and data analysis, project management and process improvements are essential along with demonstrable engagement and consultation skills. The successful candidate must also be able to instigate and encourage innovation and comfortable working with ambiguity and under pressure on multiple projects within a rapidly changing, fast paced environment.

You will also need to be a concise and clear communicator with the ability to talk and present to a range of audiences and have good report writing and IT skills
