Teaching Assistant (Special Resourced Provision) – Maternity Cover 

Salary Scale: Scale 3 Point 14-17 – (£20,007 – £20,472 pro rata) 

Hours: 32.50 hours per week x 45.6 weeks per year 

Closing Date: Noon, Friday 12th July 2019

We are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work as part of a team within the school in our Special Resourced Provision for Autism Spectrum Disorder/ Global Delay.  Good communication skills and empathy with children are essential.  Must be willing to deal with a wide range of challenging behaviour, and be able to show patience, resilience and flexibility to respond to the varying demands of the school day and the pupils’ needs.  The Teaching Assistant must be available to start work at 8.30am for the beginning of the school day.  Experience of working with children on the autistic spectrum would be an advantage. 

Good Numeracy and Literacy skills are essential.  It is desirable that applicants hold an NVQ Level 2/3 certificate for Teaching Assistants or have equivalent qualifications, but is not essential.
