SALARY:  Scale 4 Pt 07 -11 (£10,587 - £11,368) – 20 hours per week, 44.4 weeks per year


South Chingford Foundation School is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Design Technology Technician.

The role will require support predominantly in the resistant materials and engineering area but may be required to cover on occasion in product design and other technologies. You will be required to prepare for practical lessons, support teaching staff and KS3 and KS4 students in class with the use of all machinery within the resistant materials classes including saws, drills and also use of laser cutters and systems such as 2D design. You will also be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the machines is up to date and ensure that Health and Safety requirements are met under the direction of the school.

The successful candidate will also need to be able to demonstrate that they have previous experience in a design technology role, hold relevant certificates and Health and Safety qualifications, are able to work flexibly and prioritise workload, work calm under pressure and uphold a professional, friendly manner at all times.
