The London Borough of Waltham Forest is highly ambitious. It wants to make sure each and every one of its residents enjoys a quality life in London.

Over the past few years, Waltham Forest has changed dramatically as a place. Good schools, great parks, excellent culture facilities, high levels of  regeneration and  community entrepreneurship are making it a place that people want to call home.

Over that period of time, Waltham Forest as a council has also continued to develop, and despite the challenges of austerity, the organisation has seen its highest ever levels of resident satisfaction. As funding reductions continue, Waltham Forest is creating a council for the future.

Housing is high on the Council’s agenda and to reflect this, the housing service recently joined the Families directorate to ensure families are supported to be more resilient and services are joined up. The Council sees a strong link between housing, health and social care and is looking for people who share this vision.
