Are you a passionate teacher ready for your next step whether that’s beginning your career as an Early Career Teacher or building on your experience in a new setting?

Genesis Education Trust is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join one of our Walthamstow schools, either St Saviour’s CE Primary School or St Mary’s CE Primary School, from April 2026. The successful candidate may be based at either school, depending on experience and the needs of the Trust.

At Genesis Education Trust, we are proud of our strong track record in developing teachers at every stage of their career. Early Career Teachers benefit from a structured and supportive induction programme, a dedicated mentor, regular instructional coaching and a reduced timetable in line with statutory entitlement. Our professional development offer is research-informed, high quality and carefully sequenced to help new teachers build confidence and expertise quickly.

Experienced teachers will find meaningful opportunities to further develop their practice, contribute to curriculum development and take on additional responsibilities. Through Trust-wide collaboration and high-quality professional development, we provide clear pathways towards middle and senior leadership for those who wish to progress.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about high-quality teaching and learning, holds high expectations for all pupils and is reflective and committed to continuous professional growth. You will bring energy, creativity and dedication to the classroom and contribute positively to our collaborative and supportive staff team.

The Genesis Education Trust is a vibrant, forward-looking school community with a shared drive to secure the very best outcomes for our pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school where professional growth is genuinely valued and supported.

Equal Opportunities

Waltham Forest is a diverse borough where diversity is valued and is integral to both, service delivery and employment of its staff. The Council is proud of its rich mix of communities and as the largest employer in the area, it works hard to respond to the changing needs of its population. We use our statutory duties on race, gender and disability equality and best practice in respect of age, faith and sexual orientation to ensure equality of opportunity in the workplace. The Council is committed to meeting its 4 equality objectives: - Promoting equality of opportunity - Opposing all forms of discrimination, intolerance and disadvantage - Ensuring our workforce reflects the diverse communities of Waltham Forest at all levels. - Providing fair, appropriate, accessible and excellent Services to all. Respecting Diversity is a core Council value. To support the above and reduce the risk of bias in its recruitment activities, the council is operating an anonymous shortlisting process, which hides personal information that can identify individuals until their application has been considered for shortlisting. The council also operates a scheme whereby, for jobs graded up to and including scale SO2, internal candidates are considered first. This includes those candidates who self-identify as having a disability for the purposes of the Disability Confident scheme.
