Salary:             SC2.04 (£29,025.00 -Pro-rata for 39 weeks based on 31 hours per week).

Start date:        March 2026, subject to reference, DBS and medical checks.

Contract:         Fixed term years contract or rolling contract

 

The Federated Schools of St. Joseph’s Catholic Nursery, Infants and Juniors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our existing team. The role requires working one to one or in groups to support children specifically with special educational or additional learning needs.

  • Deliver personalised learning approaches, meeting the needs, abilities and aspirations of all pupils;
  • Be resilient, confident with behaviour management and have a good sense of humour.

As a 1-1 Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:

 

  • Liaising with the class teacher regarding work set for the lesson
  • Providing emotional and behavioural support
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns to the designated safeguarding lead
  • Supporting pupils with social, language and commination difficulties and SEND
  • Leading focus intervention groups with support) for reading, speaking and listening and social communication
