Temporary Part-time Teacher of Science

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Science, to teach Science across the school. This is a temporary role to cover a period of maternity leave until the return of the substantive postholder.

As a member of our science faculty you will play a key role in supporting the development of our curriculum. We have a bold vision for our science curriculum; we want our students to be thinking and working like scientists with the aim for them to go on to solve some of our global problems. With a track record of strong results we are keen to build upon our success to be bolder and more ambitious with what our students can achieve. We are looking for a teacher who can be part of this journey. 

You would be joining a dynamic and innovative team with a wealth of experience. Our science faculty is well resourced we have two science technicians to support the delivery of practical lessons. At Key Stage 3 our team teach across all sciences whereas at Key Stage 4 our team tend to teach in their specialisms. 

Ideally the successful candidate will be a Biology specialist but we will take applications from all sciences. You must be able to demonstrate creativity as well as excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to developing and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. 

This is a part-time role to work three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. This role is suitable for an Early Careers Teacher.
