Revenues Team Manager – Council Tax

The London Borough of Waltham Forest Revenues Service is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Revenues Team Manager required to manage the Council Tax Team within the Revenues Services section.

This is a high profile role within the Council with the responsibility to maximise collection, ensure all appropriate reliefs are applied and implement, review and expand digital processes for the service.

You will have responsibility for the administration, collection, and recovery of Council Tax in the borough and play a major role in other areas of Revenues Collection.

The ideal person must:

  • have at least 5 years’ experience working within a Local Government Revenues environment

  • Be experienced at representing the Council at Magistrates’ Court, and Valuation Tribunal

  • possess an extensive knowledge of Council Tax law and practice, and the ability to train, develop and motivate staff

     IRRV Technical membership with NNDR and/or Council Tax modules would be desirable.
