Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyse data to produce intelligence and insights from statutory and non-statutory education data.
• Design and develop visual reports and dashboards to provide actionable intelligence for managers and decision-makers.
• Identify and assess problems with the quality of data that is used for and presented in data reporting and take action to address issues identified.
• Contribute to (and lead where appropriate) the completion and submission of statutory and non-statutory reporting requirements, including returns required by government departments and regulators.
• Support regulatory processes, e.g. SEND Inspection.
• Deliver an innovative portfolio of data reporting and analysis to enable better management oversight and identify areas of need.
• Develop a self-serve model for access to data reporting and analysis products.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Demonstrable skills in Excel, SQL, and R.
• Experience in producing data reporting and analysis with tools such as Power BI.
• Experience of the statutory data requirements of a Local Authority specifically in the area of Education and SEND.
• Knowledge of database administration (advantageous).
• Data visualisation and data story telling skills.
• Have the ability to build and manage effective relationships at all levels across the organisation.
• Be tenacious in your ambition to improve outcomes for citizens through data.
• Be pro-active in your endeavours to progress work and build relationships.
• Excellent analytical and investigatory skills to interpret varied and complex information and be able to understand concepts quickly.
• The technical ability to effectively use data reporting tools, to drive innovation in use of data and be able to quality assure your team's output.
• The ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets and present them effectively to various audiences to inform decision-making and prioritisation.
• The ability to work sensitively, empathetically, and collaboratively across a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes.

This is a hybrid working role with the successful candidate required to work from the office at least two days a week, specifically Mondays and Tuesdays;
