The Governors of Kelmscott School are seeking to appoint a highly enthusiastic colleague to join our thriving SEND department.  The main purpose of the role is to support the SENDCO in the day to day running of the department, and to promote inclusive practice in which the interests and needs of students with SEND and/or disabilities are at the heart of all actions. The role includes teaching but on a reduced timetable; the successful candidate will be a dynamic, inspirational and creative teacher who is able motivate students as well as being an outstanding team player.

 

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain excellent career experience. This is a great opportunity be part of our exciting continued professional development programme.

 

We would welcome applications from qualified SENDCO’s as well as aspiring SENDCO’s with middle leader experience who are willing to work towards and gain the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) qualification. In addition, we would also welcome applications from Primary school candidates who are qualified to teach at secondary level.
