Project Co-Ordinator and Digital Workstream Lead
The Family Hubs programme is a new Government funded programme.
We want all families in Waltham Forest to have access to the services and the support they need; as well as fun and education activities within easy reach of their home, so we’re making sure our families are at the heart of everything we do.
Our new family hubs will be based in neighbourhoods offering families health services, employment support, creative play and parenting programmes
We know that families need support and activities no matter the age of their children and our new hubs will offer relevant support for different stages of family life
The family hub will be a one stop shop to access the support you and your family need, and will be available outside of the regular 9-5 hours
Are you passionate about services that support families? Then join our team!
We’re looking for people who are passionate about giving families the best possible support in their community, reaching those who have been previously under serviced and creating neighbourhoods where fun, creative and educational activities are within reach of all families
Our team has a shared sense of unity, support and community building at the heart of what we do.
We have recently developed our three year delivery plan and have the programme architecture and governance in place. The programme is a large, complex and fast moving programme.
The ability to confidently lead a workstream and engage relevant stakeholders is crucial for this role. You must be well organised and have experience with managing small to medium projects in complex and challenging environments.
You will be expected to provide effective support and manage projects within the Family Hubs programme to deliver expected outcomes and benefits to the Council and its residents.
In particular, you will be the workstream lead for digital elements of the programme. This requires an interest and some prior knowledge of the area. You should be able to research developments in the relevant area, analyse information and effectively feedback on trends and issues.
You will report to the Senior Project Manager and be expected to provide clear and regular updates on service delivery and the digital workstream budget
The ideal candidate will have a foundation level project management qualification.

Equal Opportunities
Waltham Forest is a diverse borough where diversity is valued and is integral to both, service delivery and employment of its staff. The Council is proud of its rich mix of communities and as the largest employer in the area, it works hard to respond to the changing needs of its population. We use our statutory duties on race, gender and disability equality and best practice in respect of age, faith and sexual orientation to ensure equality of opportunity in the workplace. The Council is committed to meeting its 4 equality objectives: - Promoting equality of opportunity - Opposing all forms of discrimination, intolerance and disadvantage - Ensuring our workforce reflects the diverse communities of Waltham Forest at all levels. - Providing fair, appropriate, accessible and excellent Services to all. Respecting Diversity is a core Council value. To support the above and reduce the risk of bias in its recruitment activities, the council is operating an anonymous shortlisting process, which hides personal information that can identify individuals until their application has been considered for shortlisting. The council also operates a scheme whereby, for jobs graded up to and including scale SO2, internal candidates are considered first. This includes those candidates who self-identify as having a disability for the purposes of the Disability Confident scheme. For more information, please refer to our recruitment and selection policy
