Driven by the culture and the innate creativity of our residents, we have developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.  We are looking for a skilled and experienced Head of Organisational Development to lead the delivery of People Strategy and Programme.

We have recently launched our ambitious People Strategy 2021-2025 and are working closely with our staff to help shape the delivery and bring to life our values.

We need to make sure that everything we are doing today supports that vision, and helps our residents and staff succeed in an increasingly uncertain world.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Organisational Development who will lead this exciting change programme, delivering the changes required to maintain the Council as an ‘Employer of Choice’. You will be an expert in organisational development and will have experience of cultural, and behavioural change, as well as developing workforce capability. You will be able to manage a team of Learning & Development specialists to deliver exception learning opportunities for the Council colleagues.

Key skills and experience for the successful candidate are:

  • Ability to work as an effective member of the People & Organisational Development Leadership Team, in shaping and driving forward the People Strategies.
  • Ability to effectively plan and delivery OD activities to support cultural and behavioural change across the Council.
  • Successful record of implementing a range of OD interventions, including management and leadership development.
