We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our residents and are now looking to recruit into new roles to develop and improve the Sport and Leisure service and increase physical activity and sport participation levels across the borough.
Waltham Forest Sport and Leisure Team is looking for Recreation Assistants to make sure our facilities and programmes provide local people of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to take part in physical activity and sport.

As part of the Sport and Leisure team we are looking for experienced Recreation Assistants to deliver the sport and leisure facilities in Waltham Forest. Ideally you will have experience in leisure facility operations.
You will be expected to maintain and develop collaborative working with the physical activity and health providers in the borough, seek new funding opportunities for our sport and physical activity programmes and initiate innovative projects to increase participation in physical activity and sport in Waltham Forest
We are looking for individuals that are passionate about physical activity and sport, self-motivated with the ability to motivate and enthuse, colleagues, customers, stakeholders and partners and willingness to work evenings and weekends for the effective delivery of the service
We have a range of part-time hours available for evening and weekend working
