
X4 Principal Accountant
There are 3 Principal Accountant roles across Corporate, Education and Children’s. The roles will provide strategic financial advisory, planning and support services for their directorate. Key responsibilities will include;
- Providing independent analysis and interpretation of complex financial and performance data, to help inform decisions making
- Supporting the strategic planning of expenditure for their service
- Identifying and assessing strategic and financial risks associated with issues relating to a defined area of responsibility.
- Developing and producing option appraisals and financial modelling as required
To be suitable for the role you need to be at least part qualified with proven experience of assisting a group of budget holders, with the ability to influence and challenge. The ability to analyse complex data is also essential.
Going forward Waltham Forest will be operating a hybrid working model, with a greater balance between home based and office working, subject to role requirements.
