Waltham Forest in east London is undergoing major transformation with a significant amount of investment coming into the borough through new developments, regeneration and infrastructure improvements.

We are a high achieving borough and invite an enthusiastic, highly motivated and exceptional candidate with an interest in sustainable transport, civil engineering and/or road safety to join our ambitious team to deliver the substantial programme of major projects, including our successful £30million Enjoy Waltham Forest Programme, to radically change neighbourhoods by placing active travel and public realm improvements at the heart of our schemes.

Waltham Forest Highways is committed to providing a high-quality service to the residents of the borough and we are looking for an ambitious person to become a valuable member of the team under our award-winning Trainee Development Programme. The post will initially be based with the sustainable transport and behaviour change teams with opportunities to work within other teams as part of the Trainee Programme.

The post is ideally suited to a graduate although applications from non-graduates will also be considered on the merits of their academic qualifications and other achievements.
