Early Help Family Practitioner (Arabic Speaking)

(1 year fixed term -  subject to further renewal)

Since 2017 Waltham Forest has pledged to support the Government’s Refugee Resettlement Scheme to accommodate and support families fleeing from countries experiencing civil war.

The scheme has recently resumed and there is a commitment for the UK to continue to support this effort, with the immediate focus on the Syrian refugees that are currently based in refugee camps.

We require an experienced Early Help Family Practitioner fluent in Arabic to support these families upon their arrival in the borough.

Working with the project co-ordinator, the post holder is expected to develop a partnership approach to provide a co-ordinated and holistic package of support. 

The post holder will play a crucial role in providing effective family support to ensure these families are able to integrate into the local community, access essential services, such as education and health and support them with the necessary tools to become connected to their community and become independent residents of Waltham Forest.

The post-holder will primarily be based in Leytonstone but will be expected to travel across the borough and further afield as required.

A clean and current driving licence is preferred.
