Hourly rate £22.38 - £31.24

 

£21,107 - £29,456 pro rata (including London Weighting)

 

Classes are delivered at venues across the borough during the day, evening and on Saturdays.

Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service is the local authority’s direct provider of adult and community education and work-based training. Officially rated as “Good” following our OFSTED inspection in July 2016.

You will need to have a minimum of two years' teaching experience, relevant subject specific and teaching qualifications, with a proven track record in teaching English Functional Skills at a variety of levels.

 

You will have the ability to:

  • plan and deliver high quality teaching and learning sessions appropriate to adult learners from a variety of cultural and educational backgrounds
  • develop effective teaching materials of a high standard and appropriate to the needs of learners
  • evaluate and track learner progress and assess learners’ work for accreditation
  • use ICT and e-learning in teaching, course planning and administration
