PART-TIME LECTURERS ESOL Ref: WFALS/ESOL
Pro rata salary £21,107 - £29,456 (including London Allowance) Equivalent hourly rate £22.38 - £31.24 per hour
Hours available range from 5 hours a week upwards, including evening and weekends. Classes are delivered at a range of venues across the borough.
Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service is the local authority’s direct provider of adult education and work-based training. Officially rated as “Good” following our OFSTED inspection in July 2016, we are on a journey to “Outstanding.”
To ensure we are successful in the next stage of our journey we are looking for experienced and qualified subject specialists to become part of our team. We are looking for part-time lecturers who are passionate about their subject and can raise achievement through motivating, challenging and inspiring our students.
You will need to have a minimum of two years' teaching experience, relevant subject specific and teaching qualifications with a proven track record in teaching accredited courses from pre-entry to Level 2, and developing emerging literacy, ICT and maths skills. Experience in delivering Functional Skills qualifications in a vocational context to second language learners would also be useful. Part time hours are available on Saturdays and evenings during term time.
